Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds award, 2017

Commissioned by the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds for the Culturele Prijs Noord-Holland.
Designed to be held in the hand, the brass object incorporates a magnifying lens that reveals and enlarges the unique traces of the winner’s palm. The shape of the object guides the hand into a specific grip, making the act of holding it an essential part of the experience. By highlighting these personal marks, the object reflects the importance of individual effort and contribution.
